Hello! I'm Linni Lanni (2nd from the right)

Just a little about our story...

​

I attended Pilates classes initially as I suffered from back pain when I ran and I wanted to seriously tone up after having had 3 children.

 

I had a lengthy wish list and thought I'd have to attend different classes all day every day to get them... a perky bottom, toned waist; to run without discomfort; I wanted to get back to horse riding and skiing and most importantly, didn't want to feel achey and stiff at just 30 years old!

​

I couldn't believe the changes that occurred from attending classes regularly. Apart from the ease with which I could then run and the sculpting of all that had 'gone south' , what amazed me about Pilates was how easy I found some exercises whilst others were totally impossible!

I loved how Pilates was a real leveller with different people struggling with different things.

​

I went to one class where a petite, quite elderly lady was outdoing a 6' 5" rugby player at the plank! Pilates totally changed how I looked at exercise.


After only a dozen or so lessons I was hooked and quickly decided to become an instructor and I haven't looked back since. Now at 53 I am still loving it. I love the teaching, the learning, meeting new people and realising that the body is truly incredible.

Here at LL Pilates we aim to make your classes the best part of your week, whether you are with us once, twice, three times a week or more. We don't just show you what to do, we want you to take your knowledge away with you and apply it to daily life 24/7, from how you stand, walk, sit, work and how to get rid of tweaks, aches and pain.

I love EVERY class I teach. Whether it be private or groups, old or young.
The more years I teach the more I'm blown away by the power of Pilates and it's ability to heal and restore.
I confess to being a Pilates geek and love nothing more than travelling worldwide to refresh and expand my knowledge.
I love the outdoors, especially the mountains, riding, skiing, running and of course my family and dogs.

...and Wise One. Julie is possibly the holder of the most number of teaching roles on the squad. From riding instructor, Montessori teacher and now hands-on grandmother too. Julie's ability to help you understand the task at hand is enviable. Thorough, kind and super understanding she will nurture you to success!

EMMA HOWARD

Instructor

Emma has had many years of experience with rehabilitation clients, horse riders, runners and regular clients of all levels. Our in house 'foot specialist' Emma is often found on additional courses on the research path.

SOPHIE HEILGENDORFF
YOUR PILATES

Instructor

Sophie is our Reformer Queen. If you need a reformer exercise demonstrating to perfection she's your girl. Her teaching style maybe gentile, calm and super knowledgeable but watch out she can certainly deliver a challenging class if you're ready!

Instructor

Vicky is our Cardio Queen, delivering well researched, upbeat, fun and challenging classes. Known for a cracking good playlist, she'll be working you to your max with lots of humour and great tunes.

Instructor

Lauren comes from a strong gym and running background, She brings her fully qualified Personal Training knowledge to her classes with an adaptability to teach all levels with lots of compassion and real attention to detail.

KNOWLEDGEABLE

I am a great believer in ongoing training. Whether that’s in-house training or from outside courses, workshops and seminars. 
I work closely with other health professionals including doctors, physiotherapists, surgeons and women’s health experts and glean their advice and knowledge to ensure you receive the highest quality, well resourced tuition.

The girls in the team above attend monthly training sessions so we are always improving and learning together.

Every LL instructor has had their lives transformed by Pilates. It is why we are all so passionate (and ever so slightly geeky) about it. We truly want you to feel the amazing transformational effects too.

We have real compassion and empathy for anyone who is apprehensive or slightly worried about starting exercise especially after injury.

​

We also know there are folk who love a challenge, to feel the super burn and sweat.

​

Through the Health Screening , the all important Consultation and our time talking with you we can ensure you are in the very best class for you.
With the information we gain, we pride ourselves on being able to give individual attention even within a group setting.

EXPERIENCED

After 12 years we have come across a lot of different client issues, from a sports injured teenager to a chair bound post operative 89 year old.
